HOW TO GET DAZ3D STUFF FOR FREE ISO
This works with "/" "+" and "-" too.ġ.4 Do not rely on higher ISO values in order to make your scene more bright. If the Lumen is set to 1000 and you want it to make twice as bright you can type in "*2" after this value. There is actually a calculator build into DAZ3D which makes it easier to multiply, subtract, etc. It has softer shadows than the Distance Lights and also offers more control.ġ.3 Speaking of Spotlights, or light in general.
HOW TO GET DAZ3D STUFF FOR FREE HOW TO
Buying light sets may be helpful in the beginning, but sooner or later you'll have to learn how to make your own lights anyway.ġ.2 You can also create your own Sun, by creating a spotlight, zooming it way out and adjusting the Lumious (Flux) to a very high value of for example 400'000'000. The reason it's valuable to learn everything about the Sun-Sky is, that it 1. You can then create a Camera called "Sun" and under SS Sun Node choose the newly created Camera, your sun is then controlled by the Camera "Sun". You can go to Render-Settings - Environment remove the Environment map and you gain access to the Sun-Sky, while also being able to light your scene with spotlights, instead of Choosing Sun-Sky Only and being limited to only that. You could also lower the CPU cores used by DAZ3D by going to the task manager > right clicking the DAZ3D Task > Set Priority and uncheck some cores so you have some left for other tasks like browsing.ġ.1 The best light setting imho is the Sun-Sky, and it's also free. This only works if you have a Nvidia GPU. You'll also be able to do other stuffs likes browsing the interwebs while rendering. I'd recommend saving the scene before you do that though, as DAZ3D crashes sometimes using this method.ġ.3 For some reason when you disable the CPU and let it only render on the GPU it is somewhat faster or only a bit slower than GPU and CPU.

It basically makes your renders 50-100% faster if you have a Nvidia GPUġ.2 If you activate Iray Preview mode and wait until the grey turns into the iray preview, it will start to render a lot faster than when you just hit render out of Texture Shaded Mode. I didn't know about this until 1 year into DAZ3D. PS: I'm by no means an expert in DAZ3D and I'm speaking from my experience.
